Each flange is CNC machined from stainless steel for strength and long-term durability. Installed on both sides of a compatible buffing, polishing, grinding, or wire wheel, the flanges clamp the wheel securely to the machine shaft, helping minimize unwanted movement and slipping during operation. The built-in stepped profile provides an additional advantage by positioning the mounted wheel farther toward the end of the shaft. This creates additional clearance between the wheel and machine housing, giving you more room to maneuver larger, curved, or irregularly shaped workpieces while polishing and buffing. A reversible 2-in-1 design adds versatility. The flange can be reversed to fit into compatible wheels with a 1" center hole, reducing the need for separate arbor reducer bushings. The drilled flange design also provides additional contact and grip against the wheel while promoting airflow around the mounting area. Each flange measures 2-1/8" in overall diameter and 0.36" wide and is designed for machines equipped with a 5/8" buffer shaft.
