The Pro-Graad Long Reach Heavy Duty 1/4" Collet Extension Tool is a straightforward solution to a persistent problem: your die grinder or drill is the right tool, but the geometry of the job won't let you get it in there. Engine porting, deep bore work, industrial maintenance in confined housings, and tight weld seams all demand reach that a standard chuck or bit holder simply doesn't have.
Available in 4", 5.5", 9.5", and 12" overall lengths, this extension shaft holds 1/4" shank carbide burrs, drill bits, and rotary accessories in a secure, threaded collet — no slipping, no wobble, no lost time re-seating a bit mid-job. A 1/8" collet is also available separately for smaller-shank accessories, and replacement collets are sold individually so a worn or damaged collet doesn't put the whole tool out of service.

Sizes & Replacement Collets
Four overall lengths, each rated to a specific Maximum RPM — longer shafts are rated lower to protect against flex and shank bowing under load. Replacement collets are sold separately in both 1/4" and 1/8" sizes.
